Back and Front (Worked in one piece to armholes)
Cast on 131(171) sts and work 3 rows in garter st (every row knit).

Commence Pattern
1st row (right side): Knit.
2nd and every alt row: Purl.
3rd row: K4, *yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k7; rep from * to last 7 sts, yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k4.
5th row: K2, *k2tog, yf, k3, yf, sl 1, kl, psso, k3; rep from * to last 9 sts, k2tog, yf, k3, yf, sl 1, kl.psso, k2.
7th row: As 3rd row.
9th row: Knit.
llth row: K2tog, yf, k7, *yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k7; rep from * to last 2 sts, yf, sl 1, kl, psso.
13th row: K2, *yf, sl 1, kl, psso, k3, k2tog, yf, k3; rep from * to last 9 sts, yf, sl 1, kl, psso, k3, k2tog, yf, k2.
15th row: As llth row.
16th row: Purl.
These 16 rows form the pattern. Continue in pattern until skirt measures approximately 4 1/4 (6) ins ending with an 8th or 16th row of pattern.

1st size only
Next row (decrease): K3, *k2tog, kl, k2tog, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.

2nd size only
Next row (decrease): K3, *k2tog, k2; rep from * to end.

Both sizes: 95(129) sts remain. Purl 1 row.
Next row (eyelets): K2(3), *yf, k2tog; rep from * to last 1(2) sts, knit to end.
Purl 1 row.
Next row: Cast on 2 sts, knit these sts, then knit to end, turn and cast on 2 sts. 99(133) sts.

Divide for Armholes
Next row: K4, p21 (29), cast off next 2 sts, purl until there are 45(63) sts on right-hand needle after casting off, cast off next 2 sts, purl to last 4 sts, k4.
Work on these 25(33) sts first for Left Back.
1st row: Knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, kl.
2nd row: Purl to last 4 sts, k4.
Rep the last 2 rows until 14(19) sts remain ending with the wrong side row.
Next row: Knit to last 4 sts, k3tog, kl.
Next row: Purl to last 4 sts, k4.
Slip remaining 12(17) sts onto a holder for neckband.
Mark positions on garter st band for 2 buttons, the first 3/4 inch above cast on sts of band and allowing for a 3rd to be placed in 3rd row of neckband. Space remaining button halfway between.

With right side of work facing rejoin yarn to next st and work as follows:-
1st row: Kl, sil1, kl, psso, k39(57), k2tog, kl, turn and work on these sts for Front.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: Kl, sl 1, kl, psso, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, kl.
Rep the last 2 rows until 29(43) sts remain ending with the dec row.

Shape Neck
Next row: P9(12), turn and complete this side first.

Work 1 more raglan dec, then dec 1 st at neck edge only on following alt row. Cast off.
Slip next 11(19) sts at center onto a holder for neckband. With wrong side of work facing rejoin yarn to neck edge of remaining sts and
purl to end. Complete as given for first side from >>> to end.

With right side of work facing rejoin yarn to remaining sts for Right Back and work as follows:
1st row: Kl, sl 1, kl, psso, knit to end.
2nd row: K4, purl to end.
Rep the last 2 rows until 14(19) sts remain ending with the wrong side row at the same time making buttonholes to match markers on right side rows as follows:
work to last 3 sts, yf, k2tog, kl.
Next row: Kl, sl 1, k2tog, psso, knit to end.
Next row: K4, purl to end.
Slip remaining 12(17) sts onto a holder for neckband.

Sleeves
Cast on 37(51) sts and work 4 rows in garter st.
Next row (increase): K3(4), *inc in next st, k5; rep from * to last 4(5) sts, inc in next st, knit to end. 43(59) sts.
Work in st st, (knit one row, purl one row), until sleeve measures 1 1/4 – (1 1/2) ins. ending with a purl row.

Shape Raglan Top
Cast off 1 st at beg of next 2 rows.
3rd row: Kl, sl 1, kl, psso, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, kl.
4th row: Purl.

1st size only: Rep the last 2 rows twice more.
35 sts remain.

Both sizes
Next row: Kl, sl 1, k2tog, psso, knit to last 4 sts, k3tog, kl.
Next row: Purl.
Rep the last 4 rows until 7(21) sts remain ending with the purl row.

2nd size only: Rep the last 2 rows only until 9 sts remain ending with the purl row.

Both sizes: Slip sts onto a holder for neckband.

Finishing and neckband
Block pieces. Join raglan seams.

Neckband:
With right side of work facing knit across sts on holders at left back neck and sleeve top, pick up and k7(9) sts down left front slope, knit
across sts on holder at center front, pick up and k7(9) sts up right front slope and knit across sts on holders at right sleeve top and
back neck. 63(89) sts.
Work 4 rows in garter st making buttonhole as before on 2nd of
these rows. Cast off.
Join back seam to start of garter st bands.
Sew cast on sts of bands in place. Join sleeve
seams. Press seams. Sew on buttons. Thread
ribbon through eyelet holes as illustrated
